Stüssy x NEIGHBORHOOD Japan, “Boneyards”

Concept, Creative Direction, Art Direction, Apparel Design, Footwear Design

Boneyards brought Stüssy’s Southern California roots together with NEIGHBORHOOD’s Japanese design perspective. Named for a surf spot in San Pedro, the collaboration became a shared visual world spanning apparel, Nike footwear and campaign imagery.

I developed the concept and creative direction, designed apparel and the Nike footwear created for the collaboration, and art directed the imagery. The collection carried its graphic language across clothing, shoes and accessories. In the campaign, projected marks and hard shadows moved across the garments, faces and locations, extending that language into the photographs.

The result was a collection with an identity that held together across product, imagery and physical space.
