Stüssy x NEIGHBORHOOD, Boneyards II: Conspiracy
Concept, Creative Direction, Art Direction and Apparel Design
For the second chapter of Boneyards, I developed a collection grounded in the real motorcycle clubs of East Los Angeles during the 1960s. The story connected Stüssy’s Southern California roots with NEIGHBORHOOD’s motorcycle culture, giving the collaboration a specific place and history to draw from.
I carried the concept through the apparel and visual direction, translating the language of club identity into contemporary garments. The collection included a limited edition Levi’s trucker jacket and NEIGHBORHOOD denim, and extended beyond clothing through a zine of photographs, interviews and artwork.
Conspiracy was a chance to tell a local story through an international collaboration. Its strength came from treating East Los Angeles motorcycle culture as the subject of the work, with the clothing and imagery built around that history.
