The ODA-X Experience, Nike Los Angeles

ODA-X translated the team culture of a U.S. Army Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha into an immersive experience in New York City. Developed by DualForces and led by Green Berets, it invited participants into a purpose-built base camp to learn how a small team prepares, communicates and works together under pressure.
The concept grew from DualForces’ work across sport, design and Special Operations training. I shaped the experience and its spatial design around a principle: each person would learn a skill, share it with the group and rely on others to complete the next challenge. Participants made decisions together, trained in small groups and practiced clear communication, planning and accountability throughout the program.
ODA-X turned team building into something participants could feel and practice. Its lessons came through shared responsibility, direct instruction and the experience of becoming more capable together.
